New Elkhart Memorial Football Coach

Scot Shaw may soon be named the new head football coach at Elkhart Memorial.  Shaw is a native of Mishawaka, has spent over 30 years coaching in Michigan.  This past season he led Fort Wayne Wayne to a 9-2 record and its first SAC championship in 23 years.

The News-Sentinel in Fort Wayne reported earlier today that it has confirmed with multiple sources that Shaw is leaving Wayne High School to accept the head coach position at Elkhart Memorial.

Shaw would replace Bill Roggeman who resigned at Memorial in November with a 5-25 record after three years.

January 20 update:  Scot Shaw was named today as the new head coach at Elkhart Memorial High School pending school board approval. He will begin February 2 as a physical education instructor.  Jacquie Rost, Elkhart Memorial athletic director said, "We believe that Coach Shaw offers the experience and history of success that will enable EMHS football to compete at the highest level in high school football. His training and instructional technique and style as well as his philosophy on offense and defense are well suited to the athletes in our program. We look forward to all that he brings to the program."
