Quote for the Day

Phillips Brooks, the great New England preacher, once said that shy people make the best preachers....

Shy people interiorize a lot; they meditate; reflect. So when they preach, they know how to get inside minds, to think the thoughts and react with the reactions of their people.  They're more skilled than the extrovert who has never considered what other people feel.
To perform well, shy persons must be well enough prepared to subjugate fears and timidity. When the message begins to flow, they forget they're shy.
