Remembering the end of the war to end all wars

Poster from Mennonite Central Committee

Armistice Day is celebrated each year in some nations on November 11 to remember the armistice signed at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of November 1918 to end hostilities on the western front of World War I - "the war to end all wars."

While we no longer call it Armistice Day in the United States, nor continue to hope for the end of all wars, it seems a dream worth holding on to for our world.
