News from Manchester University Office of Church Relations

We had four students serve as interns in Ministry Summer Service for nine weeks this summer. Todd Eastis was at Black Rock Church of the Brethren in Glenville, Pa.; Lucas Miller Kauffman was at Camp Mardela in Denton, Md.; Andrea Keller was at Lancaster (Pa.) Church of the Brethren; and Peyton Miller was at Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren in Fort Wayne, Ind. They will be sharing from their experiences during a chapel service this fall.

Members of the Manchester community will head to Camp Mack again this fall for the annual Camp Mack Day. The day, on Sept. 22 this year, will include games, food, a climbing wall, canoe races, a service project, and more. Some Brethren students are doing a mini-retreat at the camp the night before.

The Powerhouse regional youth conference enters its fourth year, with this year’s event scheduled for Nov. 16-17. To better accommodate the conference, it will be held at Camp Mack this year, with tours and events available at the Manchester campus before and afterward. The theme is “On Earth As It Is In Heaven: Stories From the Garden,” with keynote speakers Audrey and Tim Hollenberg-Duffey. More details are atwww.manchester.edu/powerhouse.
