Tuesday's Quote

The Chronicle reports on studies by Duke's Clergy Health Initiative which suggest that ministers now suffer from higher than normal rates of hypertension, diabetes, depression and heart disease.

"My friend is an ER doctor and he thinks I, as a pastor,
would be more stressed [than he is].
I could not imagine being an ER doctor,
but we are dealing with matters of life, death and faith,
and sometimes that's more important than just matters of life and death."
