I Believe

Scot Newcom got mad when a judge ruled he couldn't have a state license plate with the Christian slogan "I Believe."So, he came up with his own unique way to proclaim his faith - newspaper tubes, those plastic tubes you see next to many mailboxes.

It helps that Newcom is the circulation director for the Aiken Standard and he's the one who orders tubes for the newspaper.

Instead of the traditional newspaper name on the side of the tube, these say "I Believe," and the "I" is in the shape of a nail."

I believe Christians have the right to share their faith with others," said Newcom, who is very active in his church. Anyone, newspaper subscribers or not, can purchase one of tubes for $12.99. They even come in five colors - red, yellow, black, blue and green. article
