The United Methodist Church is launching a pilot in Pittsburgh of its new media campaign that incorporates text messaging and outdoor advertising in an effort to reach a younger audience between the ages of 18 and 34.

Some of the text message ads incorporate text shorthand—for example, "God is F2T. CW2CU Xmas" (translation for anyone over 30: "God is free to talk. Can’t wait to see you Christmas."
