40th Anniversary of Ordination Certificate

We traveled to Camp Mack on Saturday, Sept 17, where I was recognized by the Northern Indiana District Conference with a certificate for my 40 years of ordination in the Church of the Brethren.

My ordination was held June 13, 1976 at the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren at 7 pm.  Clarence Fike represented the Northern Indiana District Board.  Others participating in the service included:  Kenneth Hollinger, Arthur Morris, Olden Mitchell, Noble Bowman, Bob Miller, and Rick & Becky Flickinger.

I shared a Faith Statement titled:
"A Pilgrim's Progress."

Hymns included: "God of Grace and God of Glory," "Spirit of the Living God," "Great is Thy Faithfulness," and "Gracious Spirit, Dwell with Me."

Rick & Becky sang: "If I Can Help Somebody" and "Let There Be Peace on Earth."

Scriptures were: Psalm 100 and Phil. 3:7-16, 4:4-9.

The following week I began my pastoral ministry at the Columbia City Church of the Brethren where I was installed on Sunday, June 20, 1976.
