A Gift to Pope Francis

Pope Francis accepts a gift of a 1984 Renault with 186,000 miles, from Father Renzo Zocca of Verona, Italy.  The car has been used in travel to serve the poor, the elderly, the drug-addicted, and the disabled.

Francis accepted the offer, after learning that Father Zocca had other transportation and recalling his own words to a group of young religious visiting the Vatican in July: "A car is necessary to do a lot of work, but please, choose a more humble one. If you like the fancy one, just think about how many children are dying of hunger around the world."   Read the story here
