Words of Wisdom

Pastor Joel Nogle was a speaker at the Middle Pennsylvania District Conference. According to the Everett Church of the Brethren newsletter, the following "Words of Wisdom" came from Joel:

1. A journey of 1,000 miles usually begins with a broken water pipe.
2. It is always darkest before the dawn - which is the best time to steal your neighbor's newspaper.
3. Don't criticize a person until you've walked a mile in his shoes. If the person doesn't listen, at least you'll have his shoes and you'll be a mile away.
4. If you lend someone $20 and never see him again, wasn't it worth it.
5. If at first you don't succeed, maybe sky diving isn't for you.
6. Never take a sleeping pill and a laxative at the same time.
